Wedding: Michelle and Adam

I met Michelle and Adam through Lea and Scott. When Michelle got engaged back in October, Lea suggested she use A Beautiful Day as her wedding planner. I'm so happy she chose us and I feel so privileged to be a part of their special day!Michelle and Adam were married at Ridge Valley Farms in Maryville with a reception immediately following. The bridesmaid's wore navy blue dresses accented with silver sashes, and carried a bouquet of ivory roses. The Maid of Honor, who just happened to be a long lost sorority sister of mine, carried an ivory rose and blue cornflower bouquet. Michelle's bouquet was a bundle of ivory roses and blue cornflower crowned with more blue cornflower. The boutonnieres and corsages were made up of ivory roses, spray roses, and cornflower. We made a large arrangements for the ceremony filled with hydrangea, roses, calla lillies, Asiatic lillies, spider mums, and cornflower. We also tied navy sashes on the aisle chairs for the ceremony.
Michelle wanted to keep the reception very simple and intimate, so we used navy and silver table runners. We placed a mirror tile in the center of each table and added 3 candles and rose petals. A few days before the wedding, my assistant and I had some scraps of navy paper left from the wedding invites and decided to create bookmarks for additional favors aside from the Photobooth. Since Michelle is an English teacher, the bookmarks were very appropriate and she loved the idea! In addition, Michelle had a wonderful idea to place different song titles on each table. When your table's song was played, that meant it was time for you to join in the buffet line! This was a HUGE hit and I definitely made a mental note for future weddings!! The cake was very elegant with navy ribbon accents, however it was so warm in the building, the cake baker suggested not placing the candles (which were supposed to be part of the cake deco) on the cake or they would fall through. Adam's groom's cake was the oh-so-popular Tennessee Vols football field complete with the checkerboard endzone, fitting for any UT fan!! It was so yummy!! And we can't forget the new and improved Photobooth set-up!!

Wedding: Lea and Scott

Lea has been a great friend of mine since we met back in 2005 when we became sorority sisters. She was a bridesmaid in my wedding last year and brought Scott as her date. They had just started dating and it was the first time any of us had met him. After that, we all KNEW that she was going to marry Scott one day! A year later, here they are!!

Lea and Scott were married at Graystone Presbyterian Church followed by a reception at Bridgeview at the Boathouse in Knoxville, TN. The bridesmaid's carried bouquets of blue hydrangea crowed with white roses. Lea's bouquet was white hydrangea, roses, and calla lilies crowned with white roses. We also attached her Grandmother's ring to her bouquet and accented it with blue pins to match her wedding colors. The boutonnieres and corsages were made up of white roses, spray roses, and green hypericum, and tied with blue ribbon. We made 2 large arrangements for the front of the church, and tied sashes on the pews with Gerbera Daisies and hypericum.

The reception consisted of little touches everywhere!! Black tablecloths were accented with damask overlays. Centerpieces were simple with a sprig of hydrangea and white votives. The candy buffet was a hit as always! The cake was delicious and the added touch of the blue hydrangea tied it in with the rest of the decor. Lea bought plain cheesecakes for Scott's groom's cake and I topped it with chopped up Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and Hershey's Chocolate Syrup. It was de-licious!
